Connecting Personally with Customers

I’ve been reflecting on how essential it’s to have genuine interactions with customers. Just last week, I spent an hour helping a customer navigate a frustrating issue, and by the end, they felt heard and valued. It made me wonder how everyone else in the customer service field creates those special moments of connection.

I find that sharing a personal story related to a customer’s issue really helps in building that connection. Last week, a customer was frustrated with a billing issue, and when I shared how I once faced something similar, it eased their tension, and we found a solution together. It’s amazing how a little vulnerability can go a long way in making someone feel valued.

It’s so true about building a connection. I once helped a customer with a tech issue, and when I took a moment to share my own experience with similar problems, we really connected. It’s amazing how a little vulnerability can go a long way — what’s your go-to for making those connections, @scarlett4466?
